(^I'll take obscure Harry Potter jokes for $1,000, Alex. If you get that, I love you and you are, in fact, a nerd.^)

Ok folks, welcome to this wonderful installment of Sara's Dream House. Steel yourselves, things are about to get weird.
Welcome to the Neon Jesus Vestibule!
Now, this idea came to me many many years ago from Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet.
Ever since little baby Sara saw this movie back in 1996, she's wanted neon crosses all over her house. I'm willing, as an adult, to limit this to one room.
Here's what would adorn such a place.
Proof that I'm not nuts...
or at least that there's other crazy folks like me!
These are divinely holographic.
A gothic stained glass window!
Tacky-ass velvet paintings!
You know I need one of these to curl up in.
I also have some amazing ideas about crafting with tarot cards, like making a tarot card garland/bunting. And of course, Muertos and roses EVERYWHERE!

And, finally, Crown of Thorns would play softly in the background ALL THE TIME!
Mother Love Bone - Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns
Until next time...
Love religious stuff! And add neon and multiples..hello, love even more. Whose amazing kitchen is that up top?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find an exact source through the tumblr maze, but I visited one JUST LIKE IT this summer (http://sara-sayswhat.blogspot.com/2011/06/sara-says-rest-in-pink.html). The blog I borrowed the picture from is one of my favorite anti-depressants (http://kitschyliving.tumblr.com/), but she's not a "source-nazi". Pink/green/aqua are surprisingly lovely together, no?
